Book Review – Love is the Color of a Rainbow

Love is the Color of a Rainbow is a children’s story of a young blind girl discovering the colors of a rainbow through the senses of touch, smell and hearing as well as the emotions they evoke within. This story seeks out nature to define beauty and to define love, as it is abundant around all of us.

This book encourages all of us to interact with our surroundings by using all of our senses, by ‘seeing’ in a new light. The illustrations are as colorful as the story and will engage children of all ages. This is a story you can use to introduce your children to nature by experiencing the colors of the rainbow just as Willow does.

The book is printed by Eco Friendly Printer on paper made from recycled bamboo. A portion of the proceeds from each book helps support nature and environmental organizations.

Author Kathy Parra, or Kap,  by her nickname, loves gardening, talking with nature, especially with dolphins, vegan cooking and baking, bike riding, and skipping for joy where she lives in Mesa, Arizona with her partner Tony and their 3 girls Ariana, Chenoa, And Asha.

Illustrator Candace Keach has red hair, drives a blue Mini, plays a silver flute, and lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her two orange cats.
